Volcker Alliance President to Senate: Government Mismanagement Presents "Real and Urgent Crisis"

In a testimony before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, Alliance President Shelley Metzenbaum urged greater attention to recruitment, contracting, benchmarking, and delivering greater impact across organizations with similar objectives. Metzenbaum also cautioned that the impact of management mistakes on eroding public confidence in government is a “real and urgent crisis” that could prevent the U.S. from achieving its full potential.
