On June 18th, the Volcker Alliance and the Constructive Dialogue Institute convened the 14 schools of public service participating in the Constructive Dialogue Curriculum Initiative on Cornell University's Cornell Tech campus in New York City. Deans, staff, and faculty shared plans for new or adapted curricula to teach collaboration skills across differences.

The workshop opened with introductory remarks from Sara Mogulescu, president of the Volcker Alliance, underscoring the unique role schools of public service play in preparing university students to productively engage with one another in the face of an alarming growth of political polarization on campuses and across the nation. Throughout the convening, participants engaged in facilitated feedback sessions with their peers. These discussions allowed school representatives to learn from one another as they prepare to roll out new constructive dialogue programming in the fall.
