Remembering Anthony J. Walton (1943 – 2019)
The Volcker Alliance pays tribute to one of our Board members, Tony Walton, who passed away on January 18, 2019 at the age of 76. Tony was an early champion of the Volcker Alliance’s mission, the inaugural leader of our Investment Committee, and a loyal friend to our Chairman, Paul A. Volcker.
“Tony Walton was an active member of the Volcker Alliance board, but more importantly he was a dear friend and will be greatly missed,” said Mr. Volcker.
A sharp dresser with a vibrant energy and enthusiast nature, Tony was a lively presence in any room. He had a distinguished and international career in banking, most recently serving as Vice Chairman, Americas for Standard Chartered Bank; held leadership roles in numerous nonprofit organizations; and was an avid photographer.
