Four Universities Join the Next Generation Service Corps National Network
The Volcker Alliance is excited to welcome four new schools to the Next Generation Service Corps (NextGen Service) national network:
- Fisk University
- Metropolitan State University of Denver
- Rutgers University - Newark
- South Dakota State University
These universities broaden the scope of NextGen Service to more rural, diverse communities, expanding the network to include 25 institutions nationwide and over 1,200 students.
“We are pleased to welcome these four universities into our growing network of universities committed to preparing undergraduate students for public service,” said Sara Mogulescu, president of the Volcker Alliance. “The inclusion of these four institutions will expand our reach to more students from varied backgrounds, helping us build a more representative, prepared future public workforce.”
Earlier this month, Arizona State University hosted the NextGen Service Member Support Retreat with support from the Volcker Alliance. Representatives from 20 schools within the NextGen Service network attended to share their lessons learned and collaboratively plan. The retreat fostered a strong sense of community and served as a reminder that institutions can more effectively empower the next generation of public service leaders when they work together.
