Volcker Alliance Senior Advisor Shelley Metzenbaum and Director of Financial Regulation Gaurav Vasisht co-authored a paper to be included in the University of Pennsylvania Program on Regulation's collection of research reports aimed at understanding and promoting the excellent management of regulatory agencies.
This paper examines key factors that contribute to regulation effectiveness, such as the articulation, interpretation, and scope of core missions; funding adequacy; priority setting; the ability to influence regulatory outcomes; and the capacity to communicate issues and options.
