Sarah Morningred and Maya Corrin Join the Volcker Alliance Team

Two recent graduates, Sarah Morningred and Maya Corrin, have joined the Volcker Alliance programs and communications teams.

Sarah Morningred comes to the Alliance from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly), where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in English and minors in Psychology, Linguistics, Spanish, and Women’s and Gender Studies. During her four years at Cal Poly, she worked as the communications manager in the university's Veterans’ Center, where she strengthened her skills as a communications professional and recognized her desire to advocate for underserved populations. Ms. Morningred was also a university ambassador, where she was elected to serve on the executive board as communications and publicity chair. Now, as communications assistant for the Alliance, Ms. Morningred helps develop the organization’s print and digital media strategy to promote awareness of the Alliance’s brand and mission.

Maya Corrin graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Policy. At Northwestern, Ms. Corrin worked directly with some of the community members most impacted by social policy. She was a rehabilitation aide in a local physical therapy clinic, building relationships with healthcare professionals and patients as they navigated injury and the healthcare system. Ms. Corrin has also worked in education-related nonprofits in both Chicago and San Francisco.  In the private sector, she has served as an associate at a certified B-Corporation, learning how for-profit organizations can work to catalyze social and political change. At the Alliance, Ms. Corrin serves as a program assistant, where she works to support several initiatives in the Alliance’s portfolio, including the Preparing Tomorrow's Public Service and Truth and Integrity in Government Finance.
