National Tech to Gov Forum & Job Fair Draws Hundreds of Candidates

The Volcker Alliance partnered with the Tech to Gov coalition and the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to host a National Tech to Gov Forum & Job Fair for technologists, from individual contributors to executives, looking to transition to digital roles within government.

Over 1400 candidates attended the fair, connecting with representatives from 47 federal, state, and local agencies currently hiring. The fair included multiple panels featuring technologists at US Digital Service, the Office of Science and Technology Policy, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and more. Current government officials who transitioned from roles in the private sector shared tips and spoke to how rewarding their work in government has been.

This event is part of the larger Tech to Gov movement, a collaborative effort among civic tech and public service organizations to help recruit people with technology skills into government. Read more about Tech to Gov here.
