The Volcker Alliance and the Institute for New Economic Thinking are gathering a group of influential thinkers for a half-day forum to discuss regulatory and structural changes needed to ensure the stability and resilience of financial markets.

Confirmed speakers include: Sheila Bair, former Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; Barney Frank, former Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee; Thomas Hoenig, Vice Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation; Paul A. Volcker, former Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; and Kevin Warsh, former Governor of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. The Volcker Alliance will release a new report, Unfinished Business: Banking in the Shadows, which delves into the financial system’s reliance on short-term debt and central clearinghouses.
