Robert Chislett joined the Volcker Alliance in 2018 as Program Fellow and currently supports the Truth and Integrity in Government Finance initiative. He is a United States Army combat veteran with over a decade of proven leadership and management experience derived from conducting domestic and global operations throughout the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to joining the Volcker Alliance, Robert served as a Deep-Dive Associate for Ashoka Social Financial Services and collaboratively developed an Innovation Brief that articulated how Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) can be innovatively scaled to serve as market-based solutions that support financial inclusion and economic growth. He also completed a year-long capstone consulting project for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in which he worked with the Kingdom of eSwatini’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy (MNRE) to establish innovative policies and strategies that support the development of a national renewable energy market.
Robert has served with distinction as a Regional Fellow with the National Review Institute and has also been selected by the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs as a Carnegie New Leader. He has earned a variety of certifications from the New York Institute of Finance, the CFA Institute, the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business, the Geneva Institute of Geopolitical Studies (GIGS), and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). He holds a BS from the University of Maryland University College and a MPA from the New York University Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
